This is a list of resources that I use when making websites. Odds are if you are to ask me a question this is the page I will send you to. If you have ever met me in person and asked me a question odds are the services I use are on this page. Some are affiliate links but they would be on the page even if I wasn't part of their affiliate program.
Page Speed:
GTMetrix is a great place to make sure your website is fast just like Google wants it to be. It helps make a better user experience and your users like that.
Social Media
Stencil – Make your social media post stand out by using images. Very easy to use.
Paper.li – Great way to find new Twitter followers and help you get more followers when people retweet your newspaper. Set it up one time and its on auto pilot.
Email Newsletters
Aweber – (affiliate link) My choice for sending out newsletters. I have tried a few and this is the easiest for me. They can send out newsletters from your rss feed.
ConvertKit – An up and coming email service that has a lot of cool features.
Competition
Raven tools – Hands down my favorite tool to find anything about a website. I use the pro version, and the keyword research is second to none for getting the job done and finding new niches. We use to work with them managing their affiliate program and I fell in love with the tools.
Keyword Tools
UberSuggest – Good place to get both your keywords and your competitions too.
Soovle – Get keyword ideas from multiple search engines at once.
Youtube Keyword Suggestion Tool – If it works for YouTube videos it will work for your website.
Wordtracker – Free sample report on keywords.
Google alerts – Not really a keyword tool but you can find new keywords and have them delivered to your inbox.

Marketing
PR Web Videos – Great place to watch and learn how to get your site noticed. They have great webinars and they record them and place them here.

Domain Names
Instant Domain Search – Find your next valuable domain names here. Best research ever.
SEO Tools
Search Quick Status – Firefox extension that allows you to see pagerank, backlinks on site or by page. If you use Firefox and make websites this is a must have.
Web Hosting
Knownhost – My web hosting of choice since moving off GoDaddy in 2008.
BlueHost– If you are planning on hosting one or two sites and don't need a dedicated server.
Audio Transcription
Rev – Get audio files transcribed at a very good price. I use this for my books.
